K-STAR ACTION STAR (Chinese Production)
K-Star was the search to find the next action martial arts stars to fill major roles in current and future movies. It was a great opportunity for young hopefuls to get a short cut straight into a movie. 'Australian Action Star' is an Australia Production to give more Aussies a go. Martial arts skills preferred but not essential
Many of you will know that Jason Scott Lee who played Bruce Lee in the movie 'Dragon' was not a martial artist but portrayed the role brilliantly. Then there was David Carradine who played a Shaolin Monk in the hit series 'Kung Fu' back in the 70s, he was a dancer.

So what about the girls?
Michelle Yeoh has appeared in many martial arts movies and she is a dancer. Uma Thurman in ‘Kill Bill' played a magnificent assassin but is not a real sword master, she is simply a great actress. So what we are saying is while you need some physical prowess, you don't need to be a martial artist to be an action movie star, you can be trained.
